As students of a public vocational college, we depend on your voluntarily donation to put our graduation project appropriable in practice. Public funds are getting lower and lower and so the budget of BBS1 Mainz is very limited. But wat means “graduation project” for us as students?

 

The graduation project has to be performed in the 4th year of our education in automation engineering at the vocational college. The project is put into practice by a small team. The aim of this project for the students is to work on a technical task independently and to identify resulting problems. These have then to be analyzed, structured and at least to be solved. It is not at all about to sketch a task on a sheet of paper and solve it, but much more about implementing different tasks in practice. The project work is therefore carried out according to the principles of action-oriented learning and is interdisciplinary. For the realization of our projects only a short period of four months is provided. The complete planning, configuration, mounting and commissioning of the project has to be performed during this period. As well it includes a complete documentation and presentation of the project. We do this beside our usual job, because the education is performed in evening classes.

 

A lot of projects have been already performed in school history, also in last year. Those projects could be performed well successful, because of the very helpful supporting of sponsors (e.g. SEW, ThyssenKrupp, Rittal, and many more…). Whether you have a large or a small business or you work for such a company, if you donate money or components, each donation helps us very much to put our project in practice. Here, you make also a valuable contribution to the education and training of young people.
